A Seminar on Industrie4.0 and its prospects for industrial development under??CPEC was organized by Trade and Industry Cooperation under CPEC and Regional??Integration under CPEC themes of CoE CPEC on 8th February??2018 at PIDE, Islamabad. Industry experts addressed the audience as guest??speakers on the topic. Mr. Azhar Zia-ur-Rehman, Senior consultant, Building??Information Modeling, discussed the maturity levels of industrie4.0 and??highlighted standing of Pakistan in comparison to rest of the world.??Moreover, he mentioned how to assess the maturity level of industry and at
which level CPEC industries should be to be the part of fast growing??technology pace. This is essential requirement which is expected to be met??in Special Economic Zones. New Industrial zones under CPEC will be developed??on the basis of modern technology.
Secondly, Dr. Azfar Khalid, Assistant Professor at CUST University,??emphasized on the link between industrie4.0 and manufacturing as well as??logistics.
